Canaan Town Supervisor Brenda Adams tells us the board will be discussing whether or not to change from an elected Town Clerk to a board appointed Town Clerk. A large majority of towns in New York State retain it as an elected position. If the board moves forward, there will be a Public Hearing at 6:30 pm the second Monday in July.
